Graphics Files Licenses FAQ

What is the difference between the personal and commercial licenses of graphic items?

Personal use is meant only for personal purposes. If, while checking, one or more of the bullets below are met, your license type should be commercial.

Commercial use is any use:

  • that implies money exchange;
  • that popularizes a business (like partnership, corporation, or company), product, or service;
  • that suggests financial gain, directly or indirectly, due to the use of TemplateMonster assets.

If the above, one or more, is true, you need a Commercial License.

Can I digitize your fonts for embroidery purposes?

Yes, this is alright. For example, you are allowed to digitize words, names, quotes, sayings, etc. However, it’s forbidden to do the same with the entire alphabet (i.e., A to Z) and numerical (i.e., 0 to 9) characters.

Can I use graphics as part of a logo I create for a client?

You can use items as is, only with the Business License. For Personal and Commercial licenses, while adding our graphics to your design, make sure that it’s significantly modified or customized with another font(s), etc. You can make everything that creates a distinctive new design that does not resemble the purchased graphic.

Please note, you should present the end product in an outlined/flattened file format. In such a way, the original graphic cannot be extracted or separated from your end design.

All created logos cannot be trademarked or copyrighted as the ownership belongs solely to the original designer. Just keep in mind that you are licensing the non-exclusive rights to use the items that may be used by other parties as well.

Can I use bought items to create a design to be uploaded on Print-On-Demand sites?

You may use purchased fonts and graphics to create items for sale or POD sites. The original product should be changed completely, making it not similar to the downloaded item.
