Please read this section to learn how you can use files covered by the 3D Models Licenses. The licenses described below cover the following types of 3D files:STL, OBJ, FBX, DAE, 3DS, and so on. These licenses allow buyers to use the purchased 3D model products under certain terms.

3D Models License Types

Authors of 3D models can sell their products at the TemplateMonster marketplace, making use of Personal and Commercial licenses. These two licenses will cover all possible areas of application of 3D model files.

Personal License

The Personal License provides a purchaser with an ongoing, non-exclusive license to use digital products. Personal license allows using any 3D model to create one end product for yourself or your client. What is an end product? It's a work that incorporates a purchased 3d model at the TemplateMonster marketplace with other digital products making it bigger in scope and way different from original products.

Possible End Products that can be created using 3D models include video games, objects used for all kinds of renders, animation, or 3D printed objects.

What you can do:

  • create one end product for yourself or your client;
  • transfer end product to your client for any fee, the license is transferred automatically;
  • make copies of your end product;
  • modify and combine 3D products with other items.

What you can’t do:

  • sell your end product to more than one client;
  • share or sell 3D products as a stock, template, with source files, as-is or with modifications;
  • using 3D products in "on-demand," "made-to-order," or "build-it-yourself" applications;
  • mark purchased 3D products with your trademark.

Commercial License

The Commercial License grants a purchaser an ongoing, non-exclusive, license to use 3D products purchased at the TemplateMonster marketplace. The clients are allowed to use 3D products to create unlimited end products for themselves or their clients; the end products may be sold.

Possible End Products that can be created using 3D models include video games, objects used for all kinds of renders, animation, or 3D printed objects.

  • create unlimited end products for your personal use or your clients';
  • transfer end product to your clients for any fee, the license is transferred automatically;

How many projects can I create using one 3D model?

You can create one project using a Personal license or unlimited if you choose a Commercial license.

How do I submit a 3D model to your marketplace?

You need to create an account at TemplateMonster marketplace, in the dashboard click on the Become an author link, agree with the marketplace terms, and then you can upload your first product. Our review team will have a look at it, and in 1-3 business days, you'll get a reply with recommendations on how to improve your product or its presentation.

Are there any restrictions on 3d model types that are sold on your marketplace?

Overall, there are no restrictions unless your 3d model is a part of a weapon that can be printed, assembled, and used.

If my 3D models exceed your pricing range, can I upload them?

Yes, you can; hi-performance models are something that we're interested in.
